NEVT and Tourism Victoria
Tourism Victoria is the State Government authority responsible for developing and marketing Victoria as a premium tourist destination for Australian and international travellers. Tourism Victoria is a statutory authority within the Department of Innovation, Industry, and Regional Development (DIIRD).
North East Victoria Tourism Inc. is the Regional Campaign Committee for Victoria's High Country and coordinates and delivers a series of regional campaigns developed in cooperation with Tourism Victoria. The campaigns promote both the rational and emotional benefits of Victoria’s tourism regions and encourage visitors to experience the core product strengths and the key villages and towns within each region.
Victoria's High Country marketing campaigns are supported by Tourism Victoria's development of brand campaigns. The brand campaigns involve a number of stages including research analysis, strategy development, concept development, production and media planning. Tourism Victoria aims to provide an integrated way to promote all of Victoria's regions and their sub-destinations through a mix of brand, tactical, informational, public relations and trade activities.
NEVT and BART (Board of Alpine Resorts Tourism)
NEVT and BART frequently work together in cooperative marketing campaigns to market the Alpine Resorts of Victoria’s High Country.
BART develops and implements co-operative, integrated alpine tourism marketing campaigns. BART employs a marketing coordinator who also acts as its executive officer. BART has an independent chair and representatives of the Alpine Resorts Co-ordinating Council, Tourism Victoria and the Alpine Resort Management Boards.
Geographically Victoria’s High Country encompasses the municipal boundaries of seven shires. NEVT works closely with local government’s Tourism Managers.
